Well, I've been neglecting this Live Journal for quite some time now since everyone is on the My Space band wagon. So with that being said this most likely my last post on here. My Space is alot better than Live Journal so you can find me on there with new blogs and schedule updates! Thanks to everyone who took the time to read all my past journal entires! http://www.myspace.com/bigdaddydean

I haven't updated this thing in forever...I'm addicted to My Space now. If you want to check out my profile the link for that is...http://www.myspace.com/bigdaddydean. I went to the MWWC show on Saturday. I wasn't booked and didn't take my gear as I didn't plan on working. I could've gotten on the show though, and I just kinda wanted to set for once and watch a actual show. Needless to say it reaffirmed my belief that I still love the wrestling business as I was wanting to get in there so bad and actually regretted not bringing my gear. I highly suggest to anyone in the business if you feel like you're losing your passion for it to just go sat and watch a show & if you don't have the itch setting there to get in that ring then you probably should quit the business or take a leave. Anyways, there was a couple good matches on the card. Nigel McGuiness & Jimmy Jacobs was there and worked. Their matches were pretty good. Wish they would've worked each other though. The match probably would've been really good. Anyways, that's bout all on that...This weekend I'm heading down to Fairmount to wrestle with the Micro's or as you fans would call them "Midgets". I'm really looking forward to it as it's my first time working there and they all seem great. They got a really good thing going from what I hear and I'm glad to be a part of it. Anyways I'll try and update this more or just cut and paste my blogs from My Space onto here or vice versa. Anyways, thanks for supporting Independent Wrestling and please keep on supporting us. MAYHEM PRO WRESTLING...AUGUST 5TH...LACROSSE, INDIANA 4PM BELLTIME! BE THERE!!!!

God Bless,

Greg

PS. I also worked a tag match with King Kong Bundy on the 4th of July. Had a great time there as well! Also watched Great American Bash tonight on PPV...it was ok...not a big Smackdown fan though. Opening match was probably the best! JAMIE NOBLE!!!

Just got done watching Big Momma's House 2. It was pretty good. I loved the first one so I had to get the second one. I'm a big Martin Lawrence fan, so I guess that would explain why I liked them so well. I'd like to congradulate Jynx on his Graduation tonight. I'll be over there tomorrow for his Graduation party hanging out with him and his family and mine for that matter. Anyways, other than that this is the first weekend I've had off from wrestling since February so I'm actually just gonna chill. I also got the movie the Island that I'll probably watch tomorrow night or Sunday. Anyways just figured I'd update this thing cause I'm bored and have nothing better to do.

Greg

Two words for ya!...TAYLOR HICKS!

I'm a mark for American Idol...as soon as I saw Taylor audition I said "That's the guy right there...he's gonna win it all!" I'm freaking happy that he won. I meant to post this last night, but just never got around to it. SOUL PATROL!!!

Hung out with my bro Tommy Dean (Drastic) tonight...Kinda sad, because he's moving to Terre Haute and it's hard to tell when I'll see him again next. Two of my closest friends have moved far away now...Justin and Tommy. I always found it funny that their last name was Dean and my middle name was Dean, we even called ourselves "3D" back in the day...we're close enough we're like brothers...well they are already, but I think I'm in there some where! lol...We been through alot of crap together and I love those guys alot. It's weird that 5 or 6 years ago we were driving around talking about what we were gonna do in the Wrestling Business and now Justin has went above and beyond what we all expected...Tommy is a good wrestler and I feel one of the better wrestlers in the state and I don't think I'm horrible myself. We've all achieved our goals as far as wrestling goes and I know that Tommy has graduated college now so he's got his personal goals accomplished as well. Now I just need to find that happiness those two have. I'm a happy person, but I can honestly say I'm not content...I don't know what will make me content, but I have my lord, my family & my boys even if they're far away so I guess that's all I need at the end of the day!

God Bless,

Greg

PS. Def Leppard has a new CD that just came out today called "Yeah"! It's basically a CD of all the songs that influenced them to be a band when they were young. Good CD!

Made the trip to OWA on Friday. Got there and was informed I'd be in a 8 man elimination match. Those matches are usually major clusters and I didn't think we would be able to pull it off...then again when you have Seth Clash & Justin Tyme in the mix...things can get good easy from their sheer charisma. Well we went out for the 8 man and it actually turned out real well. Jynx looked good with Seth before getting RKO'd. lol. Then I thought myself and Tyme looked good...(once again sorry for the splash!) lol. Then I thought I looked good with Seth as well...also thought Gerric and me even pulled out some decent stuff. Not a knock on Gerric...everyone knows we don't like working each other alot. Not because of personal reasons, just cause we don't have good chemistry. All in all I thought we had a decent match for what it was. Once again showing why I like going to OWA! Thanks again for having me up there again Chad & Brian! Love ya guys!

Peace,

Greg

Ok, long story short I'm not big on this Da Vinci code crap...I honestly don't like it and I feel that alot of people are going to go see that movie and really start thinking and doubting their beliefs and about our lord...that annoys me. However instead of worrying about something I can't control I found humor in a interview with Kevin Nash that cracked me up so I wanted to share it...

LAW: It’s just sometimes to me, I don’t see how that benefits. To me, it looks just like the fans see the big guy come out and beat the little guy. And then when you do get the win, they don’t believe it anyway. It seems unbelievable.

KN: What, when the little guy gets the win, it’s unbelievable?

LAW: Yeah.

KN: Well why is that?

LAW: I think because it hasn’t really been ever done properly, with the giant versus the smaller guy. A lot of fans have a real hard time believing that just in the context of the wrestling match. So I think that’s the hard part—

KN: Maybe they should read the Bible.

LAW: Well maybe so.

KN: Maybe they should because Goliath was nine foot and David was a teenager. And that’s documentated that’s not a work.

LAW: (laughs) I have to question certain aspects of the Bible myself, but hey, I mean...

KN: It’s because you’re a mark and you listen to that Da Vinci Code stuff.

Went to IWA (Not quite Mid South lol) this weekend...wrestled my good friend Travis Southern in the opening match. I thought we had a really good, basic old school match. I love getting in there and not doing alot and telling a story. LESS IS MORE BABY!!! Anyways, the show drew over 100 and it was alot of fun. Good to see my boys White Boy, Jason Automatic, Liberty Kidd, 70's Guy, Muffin Man...and the ever so popular (not with the ladies) Jynx. lol...Anyways got home at a decent hour...watched some of the show and just finished watching it tonight. All in all a decent weekend. Next weekend is OWA with Shark Boy & then Saturday I may head over to South Bend and watch MWWC's show. Lots of people been wanting me to go check it out...not sure what I got going on Saturday yet though...we'll see! Anyways...It's a few hours late, but I want to say Happy Mother's Day to all the Mother's that read this...I'm sure not many if at all...but if you have a mother or know one tell them Big Daddy says "Happy Mother's Day!"

GOD BLESS & take care,

Greg

Last night I wrestled for WWA "Bruiser Wrestling" in Warsaw. It was a great show I thought. Got to see some of my boys...Seth Clash & Bam Morgan. Honky Tonk Man & Mr. Hughes was there. Honky Tonk Man is the man...I've always been a mark for him. He cracks me up, just like his shoots! He sat and talked to me for a lil bit and told me some good ribs and road stories and crap like that without asking for them. lol. Made me feel kinda good to have him actually talk to me without me even starting the conversation. I wrestled in a 6 man tag match...my partners were Halloween & some Vampire looking guy. We wrestled Bam Morgan, Kid Italy & William Stud. I thought the match went really well and blew any doubts I had in my mind away. I thought Bam & me worked well together out there...good times! I will say this, I didn't know how I'd be treated at Bruiser's show, but I can honestly say Bruiser went out of his way to put me over (which doesn't matter by the way) and he gave me a good pay day. I gained a ton of respect for everyone associated with the WWA last night and would like to come work there again. Good times were definately had!

Wrestled on Friday and Saturday this past weekend...On Friday myself along with Rancher, Melonie, Rancher's son Brent & my Dad all made the trip up to OWA in Elkhart. I thought it went ok. I wrestled Bi Polar. One of our best matches I think we've ever had. Psychology worked for it and everything so I was happy. Saturday was a crappy day. Seemed like a year trying to figure out whose ring the RSW show would be using and when we found out it was my ring, problems started going crazy. Long story short, the ring didn't get there til about 30 min before show time. All kinds of problems...it wasn't personal problems or anything like that. Like I had problems with my trailer and then I didn't feel comfortable driving that trailer through down town Fort Wayne. So Donnie's bro Dave took it up for me. Major thanks go out to him. Anyways, had a match with Jason Automatic and myself against TNT (Travis Southern & Troy Miller). Thought overall the match went pretty good. Troy said he liked it better than the first tag match we had like a year ago so...I guess that means it was pretty good? lol. Anyways, this weekend I'm working for Bruiser Wrestling in Warsaw where I'm wrestling in a Six Man Tag. Hopefully we can have a good match there as well. Next weekend is the MPW show in Lacrosse on May 6th. Show starts at 6 and they're on Chicago time so if anyone is venturing West that's 7 our time. Anyways I guess that's all for now...

Greg

I just got done watching "Black Dawn" which is the sequel to "The Foreigner" by Steven Seagal. I actually liked this one. I'm a huge Seagal mark, and his straight to video stuff hasn't been big lately, but this movie was actually good. He has a new movie that just came out on DVD as well called "Mercenary for Justice". I heard it's really good for a straight to video movie as well. I got like 3 more of his movies that came out last year that went straight to video to catch up on as well...I just haven't watched them yet...probably due to the fact that outta all my friends I'm really the only Seagal fan and I like to watch movies with people. lol. Anyways, his contract will be expiring with this company he's making movies with soon so he can go back to making more higher budget films for theatrical release. He got paid lots of money though to do the straight to video stuff. I think it's affilliated in some way with USA Network as well, because as soon as they come out on video within a month they're on USA. Anyways as far as wrestling goes...this Friday I will be in Elkhart for OWA. Saturday will be making the trip to Fort Wayne for RSW. Hopefully get two good matches out of two shows! Pray for us to remain uninjured!

Greg

Friday night I wrestled for OWA in a Forgettable Six Man match. I didn't think it flowed well at all. I mean it wasn't the worse match on the show, but it could've been alot better. Saturday morning I woke up sick with a really nasty cold or flu or something. My parents both have it too, so we have been coughing and sneezing and all that fun stuff. Tonight I watched the movie National Treasure with my Dad. We both liked it alot. I mean it is pretty far fetched, but then again I'm in a business in which you suspend disbelief sometimes so ya know it all works out. :o) Anyways, gotta wish JD and Lyla the best in Louisville. I know JD will make us all proud. Anyways I guess that's all...

Tonight was fun. Hung out with ALOT of friends and watched Wrestlemania 22! Everyone kept saying how this Mania would suck and what not...I was optimistic though. I kept telling everyone "Yeah when they look weak is when they're awesome." I thought it was a great Mania! I think it was probably the best one since Wrestlemania 17. Loved the Money In The Bank Match (I called it). I loved the Edge Foley match (I think everyone knew Edge was going over). I liked Shawn & Vince's match. That right there shows why Shawn Michaels is the "Showstopper". lol. I liked the 3 way with Angle, Orton & Mysterio. I didn't care who won, I'm a Angle mark though, but I guess whatever to change things up! Absolutely loved Cena vs. Triple H. Triple H is my favorite wrestler and has been for a long freaking time. I think he's the best in the business and definately one of the best ever. Anyways, LOVED Wrestlemania!!! I guess that's all...just a lil rambling here on my part I guess.

I wrestled for IWA tonight. I wrestled Jason Automatic for the first time. Timing seemed a lil off during the match, but it looks really good on tape. I had alot of fun. I want to say thanks to Rocky for calling me at 4:30 this morning to tell me he thought I was a good wrestler. It was kinda funny, cause I hadn't said anything, but I was really doubting myself heading into this match. I kept praying for god to give me the ability to have a good match if it was his will and right afterwards Rock called me and told me that and it pretty much was the main factor I think that got my confidence up enough to have a good match with Jason. Working tags for the past year I hadn't really done alot of singles matches, especially with guys that can really move quick so I was worried about the "blow up factor", which I did blow up, but I made it through the match really good. Anyways I just wanted to thank Jason for the match, Rocky for the talk and all the guys on the IWA show for being cool and down to earth like all locker rooms should be. Anyways it was good seeing all the guys again down there even though some were missing...(Jynx, Bi Polar, Big Delcious). I did get to hang out with Phaninath and Muffin Man alot tonight and even sold Muffin Man a singlet that had a big "BD" logo on it which he immediately said "Bakers Dozen"! The kid is quick witted and I loved the idea! lol. Tonight was prosperous too...between selling gimmicks, being paid for the show and all that I racked in $80! I was super pleased with all that! I LOVE GREENTOWN! lol. Even though I had fun I can't forget that none of this is possible without my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!

I've had the movie Spiderman 2 forever and just watched it. I thought it was pretty good. I think I liked the first one better though. Then again, I thought Fantastic 4 kicked the crap outta the Spiderman movies altogether. Anyways I been on a movie kick the last few days...don't know what my deal is. If anyone has any good ones to reccommend, by all means do so! Tomorrow I'm wrestling in Greentown against Jason Automatic for IWA. It's the first time we've ever wrestled and it should be interesting. I think our styles may clash a bit though as we're completely two different wrestlers. I'm looking forward to it though. Wish us luck and pray for all of our safety as always.

Just got done watching the Fantastic 4 movie for the first time. I watched it with my dad and I must say I absolutely loved it! It was amazing and my main man Michael Chiklis from the Shield plays "The Thing" in the movie. That was awesome...Big thumbs up for that movie. I'm late on watching it, but if anyone hasn't watched it yet I highly reccommend it!

I just finished watching the "Doctor of Style" Slick's shoot interview. It was....well...it sucked! It's kinda funny thinking back on it cause he's the only guy I've ever seen interviewed that fell asleep. He fell asleep like nodding off like 4 or 5 times. LOL! Anyways if you want a laugh check it out.

Just watched "A History of Violence". It was pretty good. I wish I would've just rented it though. I guess that's the misfortune of living in the boonies is that the video stores around don't have a big selection. lol. It was good though...I mean it had a more compelling story than most "Shoot'em up" movies. I didn't like the ending at all...my dad watched it with me and was like "Wow, some ending?" I'm not dogging the movie though. If you like drama/violence then check it out. I'm more of a bad ass easy story type of movie person. (Steven Seagal fan) lol. This one was really weird...and I found myself kinda fast forwarding through the sex scenes cause my dad was watching with me and well....that was kinda weird. lol! I guess this hasn't been helpful, but check it out. It's pretty graphic with the violence in some parts too. Don't be watching it in front of kids! lol.

I picked up "A History of Violence" today. I usually don't buy movies any more, but couldn't find this one to rent so I purchased it. Looks like the type of movie I'm gonna love. I been waiting for like two weeks to see it and now I finally will get the chance. I'll most likely watch it later if I don't get caught up in watching wrestling stuff. That seems to be my problem here lately. I have so many movies I got that I haven't watched due to the fact that I'll say "Man I'm gonna watch this in a few." Then I end up watching some wrestling and get totally side tracked. lol. Anyways wish me the best on my future endeavor! lol.

I wrestled last night at RSW in Fort Wayne. Good time. I wrestled Mercenary in a really gimmicy match. Strength shove offs, stomping of the fingers and doing the most basic of basics is always a great night. :o) I was glad to see Justin for the lil while I saw him. He had to run off in a hurry due to a emergency within his girlfriends family. I hope all is well and you're in my prayers. Saw Jynx take a really disgusting bump when he got his knee or something caught up on the top rope. Pretty much took a back bump from the top rope to the floor. Thud...is all you could hear. lol. Glad he's ok though. I had a good time. Went to my friend Stephen's house tonight to check out his new video games and his new PC. Man I'm so jealous. He's got cable internet while I set here with Dial Up. lol. Also his computer is off the charts! It's amazing!!! Next week I will be in Greentown for IWA. Should be a good time as I'm scheduled to wrestle Jason Automatic for the first time! Other than that nothing new is going on...

Greg
